The Class Proceedings Act, 1992, requires that notices to
class members be approved by the court.
Approval of notices by the court ensures that the notices
are accurate, fair and in the best interest of the class.
Court approved notices in this case consist of the personalized
mailing packages forwarded to policyholders by London Life and newspaper announcements
describing settlement benefits available to former owners of participating life
insurance policies purchased from London Life.
Any other notice has not been approved by the court and there
is no assurance that other notices are indeed accurate, fair and in the best
interest of the class.
We urge you to be extremely careful in relying upon any information
contained in a notice that has not been approved by the court.
